01

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Wontanara Cite — the website, the Citizen app, the Department app or the ServiceMan app — you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use the platform on behalf of a municipal body, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

02

What the service does

Wontanara Cite lets citizens report civic issues with photo and location evidence, routes each report to the responsible municipal department, and tracks it through to resolution with proof-of-work photos.

Wontanara Cite provides and maintains the platform. Repair decisions, priorities, timelines and outcomes are determined by the municipality and its departments.

03

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate registration details. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

One account per person; municipal staff accounts are issued by the department.
Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may suspend an account that is used to file false or abusive reports.
04

Acceptable use

Report honestly and keep the platform usable for everyone in your ward.

File a report only for an issue you have actually observed.
Photograph the issue, not people, vehicles or private property interiors.
Use one report per issue so crews can schedule work accurately.
Keep language civil in public posts and in messages to departments.
05

What is not allowed

The following will result in content removal and may end your access.

Knowingly false, duplicate or spam reports.
Harassment, hate speech, or content that exposes another person's private information.
Attempting to access other users' data, or to interfere with routing, SLA clocks or audit trails.
Scraping, reselling or republishing platform data outside the open-data terms.
Enforcement
Serious or repeated breaches may be reported to the municipality and to law enforcement.
06

Your content and licence

You keep ownership of the photos, videos and text you submit. By submitting them you grant the municipality and Wontanara Cite a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and process that content for the purpose of resolving the complaint, verifying the work and maintaining municipal records.

Public posts on the ward feed may be shown to other citizens. Anonymous reports hide your identity from the public feed, as described in the Privacy Policy.

07

Emergencies and no guarantee of outcome

Wontanara Cite is not an emergency service. For fire, medical, police or immediate danger, call the emergency numbers listed in Help & Support first.

Response times and SLA targets shown in the app are municipal commitments, not guarantees by Wontanara Cite. A complaint may be rejected, merged as a duplicate, or reprioritised by the department.

Emergency numbers
See Help & Support for emergency numbers.
08

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available at all times, but maintenance windows, network outages and third-party map or SMS providers can interrupt it. Offline-first features let you continue filing reports during an outage; they sync when connectivity returns.

We may add, change or withdraw features. Material changes to these terms are announced in the app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

09

Liability

The platform is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, Wontanara Cite is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform, for delays in municipal repair work, or for the accuracy of user-submitted content.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10

Termination and governing law

You may close your account at any time from Profile → Privacy & security. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Resolved complaint records may be retained in anonymised form for municipal audit.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
